Do you really know why you want to create an online course?
“Know Thyself!”
Where does a professional educator (someone who gets paid to teach / train / coach / instruct) get the idea to create an online course?
- They see a colleague do it
- They see other educators on YT / skillshare / udemy etc do it
- They see YT stars talk about how easy it is
- They read articles about how AI makes it easy to develop content
- They see influencer’s lifestyle
Why do this?
What then is the real motivation an educator has to create (mostly web-based) online content through their own website or on a web portal like those mentioned above?
- Share their expertise
- Enhance their career options
- Provide a much needed solution
- Enhance their social media presence
- Earn some extra cash on the side
- Replace their day job
