DCD Lesson 5B WEB: First Impressions

First Impressions: Thumbnails!!!

Whether you are hosting your lesson videos on a website or linking them from YOUTUBE or Vimeo etc, you still need a killer T&T (Title & Thumbnail). It sets the tone of the viewer’s expectations. This lesson discusses some T-nail takeaways from some of the most viral videos on YT.

First Impressions: Transcripts, cc or both?

What strategies are you using (or considering) to expand the diversity of your audience? If your lessons are quite technical, have you considered making lesson transcripts available? If you speaking pace is fast, and/or the language level is quite academic in nature, have you considered creating subtitles? This Learning Block looks at some unique technologies that are making both of these MUCH easier.

First Impressions: Real activity — not gimmicks!
