The portfolio (Challenge #1) was only a stepping stone to a much greater ambition of using interactive eBooks as a way of making ‘web like’ lessons available to millions of students without internet access. Apart from the research available I saw this first hand in rural parts of India and the Philippines.

The idea was to prototype a Discovery Learning eBook that works more like a highly interactive website than a linear page-by-page regular book. The prototype is based on a grade 6 or 7 Social Studies course.
